## Sửa TV siêu tốc! Chuyên gia dự đoán chuẩn nhưng lý do khác

HOW TO FIX LED TV GLORIA

I request you all to read the article in this link and read our Repair Expert Albert van Bemmelen’s comments under it, which I am reproducing after giving the link:

‘All new made modifications you had to make to fix the issue no doubt will intensify any future repair if this tv revisits you next time’

This TV given out on 29th July, 2024 made a revisit on 18th of January, 2025 with the complaint that there was no display, but sound was ok. As mentioned in my previous article this belonged to an employee who works in the grocery shop opposite to my house and I had a social responsibility too to attend to it on priority as they do not have any other entertainment in the house and moreover, this guy was too nice, calm and composed to deal with. I had gone out to attend a meeting and his sons were waiting for my return to hand over the TV. I suspected backlight problem and quickly removed the back cover and checked and found that the voltage was building upto around 72V and dropping, which confirmed my doubt. I removed the LVDS cable from the scalar board and detached it from its tapes too and made it free. Then removed the four screws at the sides of the frame and gently detached it to view the panel. Then used an expired credit card to insert on the sides and detach it from the bottom sheet and gently moved the panel to my bed on the other room. This movement was easy as the size of the panel was not very big and I did not have to do belly dancing! (LOL)

There was only a single diffuser sheet on top of the backlight reflector, which I removed to view the backlights that were fixed with screws and not glued to the metal body:

The reflector could be removed once the screws and two sheet spacers in the middle portion were removed and then the lamps were visible. There were six LEDs in each strip, which had the ends bent as you can see in the following picture. One strip was dead whereas the other was ok, when I checked it with the backlight LED tester, which indicated a voltage of around 35.5 consumed, which meant that the LEDs were of 6V. The strips were not pasted with any tape as six screws on each strip were good enough for holding the aluminium base tight for heat dissipation. Let us have a look:

The last picture shows that the connectors were in the middle. The wiring was in series because of which the backlight shut off as there was no current drawn by the strip and sensed by the processor in the feedback.

I phoned up the electronic spare shop in the town and told him to hang on for me and carried the defective LED lights and rushed to fetch replacement, as it was a Saturday late evening and once it was closed I might have to wait until Monday afternoon on my return from duty in the hospital. Then re-fixed the reflector with screws and put the diffuser sheet on top and then moved the panel onto the top and fixed the frame. The frame was fixed only after ensuring that the panel was in its proper place and resting on its bed within the frame.

All these works were to be handled with due attention and care. Then applied power and I was glad to see the backlight lit up and I could finish the job in record time. The work was relatively very simple and I think that I have never replaced the backlight of a TV so easily before.

Mission accomplished with vigor and enthusiasm that made my week end job more than satisfactory to get qualified for entry into the collection bag!
